LinkedIn Ads UTM builder

Build the text for URL parameters in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Dynamic parameters fill in each campaign and ad name for you.

Clear a field to leave that tag out. Spaces become hyphens.

Where to paste it

In Campaign Manager, dynamic parameters go in at the account or campaign level. Fixed values, like utm_source=linkedin, can also go in at the ad level. LinkedIn combines the three levels, and it doesn't replace or remove tags that are already on the ad's destination URL.

What the dynamic values mean

{{ACCOUNT_NAME}}, {{ACCOUNT_ID}}Ad account
{{CAMPAIGN_NAME}}, {{CAMPAIGN_ID}}Campaign
{{AD_SET_NAME}}, {{AD_SET_ID}}Ad set
{{AD_NAME}}, {{AD_ID}}Ad

The value goes in capital letters, inside double curly brackets, exactly as above.

Before you publish

LinkedIn renamed its levels in October 2025. The parameters above use the new names (campaigns, ad sets, ads). If your account still shows the older ones, the older parameters apply: CAMPAIGN_GROUP_NAME, CAMPAIGN_NAME, CREATIVE_NAME and their IDs. New or edited ad sets must use the new ones.

Few characters are allowed. A key may hold letters, digits and _; a value may also hold + and -. No spaces, dots or percent signs. The builder warns you when a value has anything else.

Pick a casing and keep it. Google Analytics treats linkedin and LinkedIn as different sources, so keep your fixed values lowercase.
