Expiring links that stop when you say
Give a short link an end date, a click limit or a start time. When it is not live, visitors see a clear page, or one of yours, instead of your content.
- Expiry, click limits and start dates on Pro and above

An end date
Pick a date and time. After it, the link stops sending people to your page. Switch the expiry off and the link works again.
A click limit
Let the first 100 people through, then stop. Clicks from people count; bots and chat-app link previews do not.
A start time
Share or print the link before a launch. Until the start, visitors see that it is not live yet.
How link expiration works
The rules, so there are no surprises.
- Where visitors go instead. Before the start, after the end date or past the limit, visitors see our page saying so. Or give a page of your own, such as "this offer has ended", and they go there.
- One moment for everyone. You pick the time in your own time zone; it is stored in UTC, so the link ends at the same moment wherever people are.
- The QR code follows the link. A printed code for the link starts and stops with it, so you can print before a launch.
- Clean analytics. Visits outside the live window are not counted as clicks.
- Change your mind. Move the date, raise the limit or switch either off, and the link opens again at once.
- Nothing expires by itself. A link in your workspace keeps working until you set a date. Only links made on our homepage without an account end after 30 days.
Step by step: link expiry, start dates and click limits.
What people use it for
- A sale or a coupon that ends on a date.
- An offer for the first 50 or 500 people.
- A launch page that should not open before the announcement.
- A download or a form that is only open for a week.
- Event tickets or a sign-up that closes when the event starts.
