Rebrandly Alternative (2026): Branded Links Without the Metering

Rebrandly is a good product and one of the few shorteners that took branded domains seriously early. People rarely go looking for an alternative because it stopped working — they go looking because of what it costs once the campaign gets big enough to matter.

The reason people switch: everything is metered

Rebrandly counts three things against your plan every month — links created, QR codes created, and clicks tracked. Most tools meter one of those. Metering all three means the month a campaign works is the month you hit a ceiling, and the upgrade is not small.

The QR quota is the one that surprises people. A QR code is a picture of a link you already made; metering it separately means printing a poster, a menu and a packaging insert costs three units of a monthly allowance, and reprinting costs three more.

The numbers, as published in September 2026

Rebrandly's own pricing page, monthly billing:

  • Free — 10 links/month, 10 QR codes/month, 1 custom domain, no teammates.
  • Essentials, $11 — 250 links, 250 QR codes, 2 domains, 10k clicks, no teammates.
  • Professional, $32 — 1,500 links, 1,500 QR codes, 3 domains, 25k clicks, 2 teammates.
  • Growth, $99 — 3,500 links, 3,500 QR codes, 10 domains, 150k clicks, 5 teammates.

For comparison, Urlicer on the same monthly billing:

  • Free, $0 — 500 links/month, unlimited QR codes, 25k tracked clicks, 1 seat.
  • Pro, $12 — 5,000 links, unlimited QR codes, 2 domains, 250k tracked clicks, 3 seats.
  • Team, $29 — 50,000 links, unlimited QR codes, 10 domains, 2.5M tracked clicks, 10 seats.
  • Business, $99 — 500,000 links, unlimited QR codes, unlimited domains, unlimited clicks, unlimited seats.

At the $99 line the difference is stark: 3,500 links and 5 teammates against 500,000 links and an unlimited team. At the entry paid tier, $12 buys twenty times the links of an $11 plan, and three people can use it instead of one.

Teams are the real cost

Rebrandly includes no teammates at all until the $32 Professional plan, and that plan includes two. If three people touch your links — a marketer, a designer making the QR codes, someone in support pasting help-article links — you are on a $32 plan at minimum, and at five people you are on the $99 one.

This is the pattern across the category, and it is worth naming: multi-user access is the feature the whole industry uses to move you up a tier. Urlicer includes 3 seats at $12 and 10 at $29 for that reason.

What Rebrandly does better

Two things, honestly. Its free plan includes a custom domain, where Urlicer's free plan does not — if you want a branded link at zero cost, that is a real advantage, within a 10-link monthly limit. And Rebrandly is the older product, with a longer list of third-party integrations. If your workflow depends on a specific one, check that first.

What to check before you switch

  • Do your existing links keep working? Short links live on posters and in print. Moving tools means either keeping the old account alive or moving the domain — plan it before you cancel, not after. See why short links should never expire.
  • Can you export your click history? Analytics you cannot take with you are analytics you are renting.
  • Does the free tier let you test properly? Ten links is not enough to trial anything real.
  • What happens at the quota? Ask whether links stop being created, or stop being tracked, or stop redirecting. They are very different failures.

The part nobody markets

A redirect should be invisible. Urlicer resolves every short link from an in-memory store before routing, so the redirect decision takes under a millisecond of server time — the rest of what a visitor feels is the distance to the server and the TLS handshake. It is not a reason to choose a shortener, but it is a reason not to worry about one.

Analytics are cookieless and processed in the EU, so links you paste into a page do not add a consent banner to it.

The risk nobody prices in

Every shared short domain carries the same structural risk: one stranger’s phishing campaign can get the whole domain flagged, and then your links stop resolving — including the ones already printed. It is worth asking any shortener what it actually does about that. Here is what we do, mechanism by mechanism.

Branded links, unmetered QR codes and a team that fits on the entry plan. Shorten a link free. No signup, and every link gets a QR code and click analytics.
