Getting started
Use a custom alias for your link
By default Urlicer picks a short, random code for each link (for example x7Gk2). You can set your own instead, a custom alias like spring-sale, when you create or edit a link, by filling in the short-code field.
Custom aliases are included in the Pro plan and above. On the free plan links get their short random code, which works exactly the same way.
A few things to know:
- Each alias has to be unique. If the one you want is taken, try another.
- Aliases make links easier to remember and more trustworthy to click.
- Leave the field blank to keep the auto-generated code.
