Workspaces & members

Roles and permissions

Every member of a workspace has a role that decides what they can do:

  • Owner: the account that owns the workspace. That is usually whoever created it, but an Admin can also create a workspace on the owner's account (see create a workspace). Full control, including deleting the workspace. The owner can't be removed from the workspace and their role can't be changed.
  • Admin: manage links, members and workspace settings, plus custom domains and API keys, and create new workspaces on the owner's account. On the Business plan, Admins can also read the audit log.
  • Member: create and edit links, and view analytics. Members cannot delete links.
  • Viewer: read-only access to links and analytics. Viewers can still open support tickets for the workspace.

The owner and Admins can change a member's role on the Members page.

Billing belongs to the owner's account. One plan covers every workspace that account owns, and only the owner can change it (see change your plan).
