QR code for a flyer

Put a code on a flyer or a poster that opens the page behind it: tickets, a menu, a sign-up. Paste the link, style the code, download a PNG for the printer. Free, no signup.

Printing it

  • Size it for the distance. About a tenth of how far away people stand: a handed-out flyer read at 30 cm needs a code about 3 cm wide, a poster read from 2 metres about 20 cm.
  • Leave the quiet zone, the empty margin around the code, and keep it dark on light, away from busy pictures.
  • Say what scanning gets them: "Tickets", "Full menu", "10% off". A code with no reason next to it is easy to ignore.
  • Test a printed proof on a few phones before the full run.

After the print run

Flyers stay up longer than the event. A code made here opens the same address forever, so once the event is over it leads to a sold-out page or an error. A dynamic code points at a short link you can re-point: to the next event, a recording, or a sign-up for next time.

It also counts the scans, so you can compare two designs or two neighbourhoods: give each batch its own link and see which one people scanned.
