QR code for WhatsApp
Make a code that opens a WhatsApp chat with your business number, with a message already typed, for a shop window, a delivery bag or a business card. Free, no signup.
Build the chat link
WhatsApp's click-to-chat link is https://wa.me/ followed by your full phone
number in international format: country code first, and no plus sign, spaces, brackets,
dashes or leading zero. A UK number 07700 900123 becomes
https://wa.me/447700900123.
To have a message typed for them, add ?text= and the message with spaces
written as %20: https://wa.me/447700900123?text=Hi%20I%20would%20like%20to%20order.
The person can edit it before sending.
Test the link on your own phone before making the code.
Why make it dynamic
- Change the number or the message later. A new business number or a different greeting, without reprinting.
- Count the scans. See how many people scanned the window sticker before they ever wrote to you.
