QR code for LinkedIn
Make a code that opens your LinkedIn profile or your company's page, for a CV, a conference badge, the last slide of a talk or a business card. Free, no signup.
Which link to paste
- Your profile: it looks like
https://www.linkedin.com/in/your-name. LinkedIn lets you set the last part to your own name in your public profile settings, which makes a shorter link and a simpler code. - A company page: it looks like
https://www.linkedin.com/company/your-company.
Why make it dynamic
- Your URL can change. If you change your profile's custom address, a code that encodes the old one stops finding you. A dynamic code points at a short link you can update instead.
- Count the scans. See how many people scanned the slide or the badge, so you know which talk or stand brought them.
- One code, two destinations over time. Point it at your profile today and at a booking page or portfolio later.
Where it works best
- The closing slide of a talk: make it large, about a tenth of the distance to the back row.
- A CV or cover letter, printed or as PDF, next to your email address.
- Conference badges and stands, where people would rather scan than type a name.
